WLDEF Training Support Programs
LumberTech Scholarships
The LumberTech program offers training for all areas of the retail lumber operation including yard & delivery, sales, estimating, and management. WLDEF provides financial assistance of up to 50% of the registration fee for members attending LumberTech classes.
Current LumberTech classes include:
- Estimating 1-2-3
- Blueprint Reading & Material Take-off
- Yard & Delivery Workshop
- Sales Development
- Lumberyard Design & Operational Excellence Workship
- Returns, Refunds and Special Order Policies

Roundtable Assistance
At WLDEF, we believe some of the most valuable insights come from your peers. To support member participation in BLD Connection Roundtables, WLDEF offers the following annual grants:
- $500 Grant per Company – To help offset registration costs for participation in BLD Connection Owner/Manager Roundtable Groups.
- $250 Grant per Company – For members who participate in a BLD Connection Virtual Roundtable.
