Each year, the WLDEF board awards scholarships for post-secondary educational opportunities for persons pursuing a career that centers on or supports the lumber and building materials industry, the building trades or small business management.
2026-2027 Scholarships
Thank you to everyone who applied for the 2026-2027 College Scholarships. We are pleased to announced the five receipients for this year:
Grady C, (Slinger WI); Brayden B ( Markesan, WI) Hannah Codere (Cedarburg, WI); Tyler Z (Hartford, WI); Camerson K (Drummond, WI)
College Scholarship Applications are available starting in November and due by March 1st.
Up to $4,000 in scholarship awards available.
Eligibility Requirements for Student Scholarships as of Nov. 2025
- Applicant must live in Wisconsin or Upper Michigan.
- Applicant must be pursuing a career that centers on or supports the lumber and building materials industry, the building trades, or small business management.
- Applicant must have applied to or been accepted by an accredited higher education institution or accredited vocational school.
- Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent by August 31, 2026.
Awards are contingent upon verification of enrollment at an eligible institution. Previous scholarship applicants are encouraged to reapply.
