WLDEF understands the need for professional development through
on-the-job training. Our assistance programs provide financial help for members to attend LumberTech classes or roundtables.
WLDEF's scholarship fund helps students pursuing a career that centers on or supports the lumber and building materials industry, the building trades or small business management.
Continuing to learn, whether from professional speakers or your fellow lumber dealer is always important. WLDEF helps support several professional development events held in Wisconsin.
A new digital conference produced by Northwestern Lumber Association in partnership with Mid-America Lumbermens Association, the Discovery Summit '21 is an exclusive, online educational event for LBM professionals. It is a collection of unique training, updates and experiences - much of which you cannot find anywhere else - designed to provide lumber dealers pertinent information, practices, and solutions that they can implement immediately within their businesses.
Established In 2009 by the Wisconsin Retail Lumber Association Inc. (WRLA), the Wisconsin Lumber Dealers Education Foundation Inc. was founded to give back to the industry that made the WRLA a successful association throughout its 120 year history.
