WLDEF's scholarship fund helps students pursuing a career that centers on or supports the lumber and building materials industry, the building trades or small business management.
WLDEF understands the need for professional development through
on-the-job training. Our assistance programs provide financial help for members to attend LumberTech classes or roundtables.
Continuing to learn, whether from professional speakers or your fellow lumber dealer is always important. WLDEF helps support several professional development events held in Wisconsin.
Established In 2009 by the Wisconsin Retail Lumber Association Inc. (WRLA), the Wisconsin Lumber Dealers Education Foundation Inc. was founded to give back to the industry that made the WRLA a successful association throughout its 120 year history.
The WLDEF is a non-profit corporation which was created and shall be operated to support and promote the retail lumber industry in Wisconsin and the Michigan Upper Peninsula. The WLDEF will support professional education and training to current Wisconsin and Upper Michigan based members. The WLDEF will support attendance at educational seminars and conferences, and will disseminate educational and promotional information about the lumber and building materials industry. It will also provide scholarships and financial assistance to persons with an interest in the building materials and the building trades to pursue post secondary school education opportunities.
